As soon as we saw the sun shinning on the local mountains, we rushed out the door and headed for the North Shore. Mary and I have been snowshoeing for a few years now and getting out for a few hours of snowshoeing on a sunny day is still our favourite type of hike.
The sun was melting the snow on the trees into ornamental icicles. Having lunch all alone at the end of Thunderbird ridge and the view of the city and English Bay was amazing.
